Why Gilbert tile roofs need new underlayment
Many tile roofs in Agritopia, Power Ranch and Val Vista Lakes are reaching the age where the original underlayment gives out. The tiles often still look fine from the street, but monsoon wind and blowing dust test tile roofs sooner than many owners expect, and that's what lets monsoon rain reach the roof deck.
We inspect Gilbert roofs for free, photograph what we find and tell you whether the underlayment needs replacing now or can wait. When it's time, we reuse your existing tiles and match any replacements to your HOA's requirements.
Gilbert underlayment replacement — frequently asked questions
Do you replace tile underlayment in Gilbert?
Yes. ProGuard Roofing replaces tile roof underlayment across Gilbert, including Agritopia, Power Ranch and Val Vista Lakes. We're licensed (AZ ROC 347312 and 352308) and insured.
Do you reuse my existing tiles?
Yes, whenever they're sound. We lift and stack your tiles, replace the underlayment and flashing, and relay them. Broken tiles are swapped for matching ones.
How do I know if my Gilbert roof needs it?
Stains after monsoon rain, brittle underlayment visible at broken tiles, or a tile roof around 20 years old are the usual signs. A free inspection will tell you for sure.
